A Tour de House part 2

Last week I showed you the main floor of our new place and today I'm going to show you the upstairs and the basement (I know you all have been secretly waiting to see my spectacular basement lol ;)
So, we last left off here,

and once you go up and around the corner you are presented with this view,

but before we go in those doorways above, just at the top of the stairs to the left, is this open loft space  (which I am currently working on turning into a craft/scrapbooking room :)

it's nice and bright because it is open to these windows,

and this is the view if you look over the railing,

Looking back towards the stairs,

and turning in that first door on the left, we come to Cady's room (Nyla was camped out with her for the first  week or so till they were comfortable in our house, I'll show you Nyla's new room in a minute)

Cady was so excited to find her boxes and bins of Barbie stuff she had to pull it all out right away and play :)

and the Lego bin got similar treatment by all three kids :)

On to Gabriel's room, his is the next doorway, right beside Cady's (both these rooms are huge btw, I thought the bedrooms in our last house were big, but these take the cake :)

Can you guess why he picked this room? (notice the Spiderman stickers :)

And then we come to the last stop in the upstairs, the last doorway is a cute bathroom...

it has a nautical theme going on and it's tucked under the eaves so it has a lot of neat angled ceilings which you can see a bit of in the second picture below...

And now for the "Piece de resistance" (have to say that with a french accent :) The Basement... ta da!...

was it everything you hoped for? Pretty amazing eh? Teehee  All joking aside, the basement is mostly a work in progress and is currently storing the majority of our stuff still in boxes. It has a nice big woodstove that'll be keeping us warm this winter and the laundry facilities as well. If you look in the railings you can see a splash of yellow and that's where we will go next and is the last stop on this tour.

And that room is Nyla's new room. It has a pretty funky paint job as well, but it is pretty perfect for a preteen room.

My favorite wall colour in there is the one above, a pretty turquoise :)

So, that concludes our tour today, thank you so much for stopping by and having a look. And if you made it this far, I applaud you :)
Again we are so grateful to have found a wonderful place to rent for the winter and we really lucked out as we have the sweetest landlords and this beautiful house to enjoy. If you missed part 1 of the tour you can scroll down or check it out HERE and you can check out more info HERE.

Have a great week!

Your new home is going to look lovely with Christmas decorations. What a wonderful banister to hang garland on. Make sure you keep us posted as you keep settling in and making it your own. They say it takes a year but I'm sure you'll have it handle ahead of time. Take Care and I can't wait to come visit and see it in person.

I agree Kim, I can't wait to decorate for Christmas! We can finally get a really big tree and not have to worry about being too tall lol.
